Our Program

Families travel far and stay long, often uprooting their lives, including jobs, other children, and income, and the effects are both immediate and long-lasting.  Caregivers come to us already carrying economic stress, housing and food insecurity needs, and high levels of anxiety and depression. And when their child is diagnosed, those pressures compound. By providing practical support and daily necessities, Ronald McDonald House Northeast Kansas gives families the strength and peace of mind they need while their ill or injured child (21 and under) receives medical care.

Our historic, eight-bedroom communal home is conveniently located just minutes from Stormont Vail Health and The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, offering multiple families a supportive environment as an alternative to corporate housing during their child’s treatment. By providing comfortable accommodations, daily meals, and essential support, we remove everyday barriers so families can remain actively involved in their child’s care.
